Port & Boarding Process, Cabin Tour, Lunch, Dinner & Sail Away - Carnival Mardi Gras

Welcome to Day1 - Carnival Mardi Gras port & boarding process. Carnival people verified our boarding pass to allow us into the building. Public announcement - If you are a pot smoker, leave your pot at home. They have drug sniffing dogs and they use them. After the sniff security we went to the ticket counter, they verified our boarding pass and scanned our passport. We proceeded through a metal detector and x-ray machine and entered into the actual Port area. After the port area we got on the gangplank entering the ship. We got on the ship and we did our muster, which is mandatory. if you are a first-time Cruiser please go do your muster as soon as you get on the ship. Your muster location is printed on your boarding pass. It' will save you a lot of time before the cruise leaves. After muster dropped the bags off in the room, got a light lunch, went back to the room, did a video on the cabin, and had some drinks in the room as we watched the Royal Caribbean Mariner of The Seas ship pulling out to sea. Once the Mariner went out to sea we watched the Mardi Gras get turned around by the captain in a small area turning us to the Atlantic Ocean. As we sailed out of the channel we got a great view of Cocoa Beach and other sites in the port area from the balcony. Once the ship went out to sea, we got a light bite to eat.
