I decided to try a different hotel near the airport prior to my solo cruise to save on expenses to the port. This time, I'll be spending 4 days on Carnival Liberty out of Port Canaveral which is right outside of Orlando, FL. Although I highly recommend staying near the airport in a hotel with free shuttle service, this hotel was very old, had an odd smell, and had doors that slammed excessively loud. The staff was amazing, there were many restaurants around and the shuttle was extremely convenient but the hotel needs updates.
