Quantum of the Seas: Groovytown 70's Disco Party

Royal Caribbean has traditionally hosted a 70's Disco Party as part of the standard entertainment on every sailing. Often referred to as the 70's Disco Inferno Centrum Party or the 70's Dancing in the Street Promenade Party depending on the location this event has always been the same. Entailing the cruise directors expanded staff dancing and entertaining guests to the sounds of the 70's. Normally lasting 30 minutes these parties were often more of a show with some added dance club elements. Onboard the Quantum of the Seas it has been reimagined as Groovytown. A transformation of the Music Hall into a night club strait out of the 70's. Rather than focusing on entertaining the focus is put back on the music dancing with just a few segments of entertainment. Lasting for over an hour the main act is the last 20-30 minutes when the Cruise Director takes charge of the show along with the ships band performing all the music live.
