Queen Mary 2 Winter Crossing Day 4 takes us deeper into the North Atlantic as we continue our 8-day transatlantic crossing from New York to Southampton — and this day included a moment that really made us stop and think: we passed through the Titanic area early in the morning. After rougher seas, snow, and white caps on Day 3, the ocean looks calmer today, but it still feels cold, powerful, and very different from a Caribbean cruise. We start the day from our sheltered balcony onboard Cunard’s Queen Mary 2, looking out over the winter North Atlantic and talking about just how chilly it feels outside. This episode also includes another look at room service breakfast on Queen Mary 2, plus a little trip up to the King’s Court for smoked salmon so Michael can make his own lox-style breakfast. We also open our Cunard sparkling wine and make mimosas in the cabin, because somehow even a quiet sea day on QM2 still feels special. Later, we head out for a walk around Deck 7 Promenade, one of the classic features that makes Queen Mary 2 feel different from a regular cruise ship. On this ocean liner, you can walk all the way around the ship on the promenade deck, take in the sea views, see the pool and hot tubs at the aft end, and really feel what it is like to be crossing the Atlantic the traditional way. We also share a fun moment from onboard immigration, where one of the UK immigration officers recognized us from our previous Queen Mary 2 crossing and told us he watches our videos. That was such a cool surprise during the voyage. Day 4 also gave us time to reflect on the history of this route. Queen Mary 2 is not just another cruise ship — she is an ocean liner built for the North Atlantic, and sailing this route in winter makes you appreciate the history, the distance, the weather, and the power of the ocean even more. If you are researching Queen Mary 2, planning a Cunard transatlantic crossing, wondering what it is like crossing the North Atlantic in winter, or following our day-by-day QM2 Winter Crossing from New York to Southampton, this video gives you another real look at life onboard during an 8-day ocean crossing. This is part of our raw and real Queen Mary 2 Winter Crossing series, sharing the sea days, cabin life, Deck 7 promenade, ocean liner history, winter weather, and everyday moments from our journey across the Atlantic. 🌟 Want to help support Hubbard’s Journey? 👇❤️ Every bit of your support helps us continue sharing real travel experiences with you.
