Our MSC Poesia Alaska cruise ended in Seattle and we were not ready to go home yet. We rented a car and drove to Mt. Rainier National Park on Memorial Day weekend and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on the entire trip. Entry was completely free for Memorial Day which we did not fully expect, the lines were not nearly as bad as we anticipated, and even with fog covering the peak the scenery was absolutely stunning.
