Creator's Key Takeaways
I highly recommend it for first-time cruisers because it just kind of gets your feet wet, pun intended, when you kind of decide that cruising might be your thing.
I'm always a fan of the higher decks and the midship options. It's so much easier to get to different places around the ship.

We've cruised a lot through the years and I'm so excited to have finally tried Royal Caribbean. I'm absolutely sold on the entire experience, easy from start to finish - they really have a wonderful process, incredible staff and they give you a truly wonderful vacation experience. We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Pedro Hotel property prior to embarking on our Royal Caribbean cruise. This hotel property is super close to the San Pedro port (about a $10 Lyft ride before tip) so a great property if you are looking for a close hotel - although I did not totally love the property (I did love the location though.) See my video review of that property here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXE9tj3-E_U&t=37s More About Midship balcony cabins on Quantum of the Seas Approx. 177–200 sq. ft. plus 50-52 sq. ft. balconies - provide a central, stable location with easy access to amenities.
