Transatlantic Cruise Port Stop Many cruise lines stop in Bermuda on their transatlantic repositioning cruises. We visited in April 2025 on the Celebrity Ascent repositioning from Fort Lauderdale to Europe. Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory, is a chain of islands strung together looking like a fish hook. We docked at Kings Wharf on the tip of the “fish hook”, just one of several cruise ports in Bermuda. Check your itinerary for the location of your port stop. We spent a half day exploring the port. Things to do in the immediate area: The National Museum and Fort ($) The Snorkel Beach Club ($) Dolphin Quest ($) The Royal Naval Dockyard Shops, Pharmacy and Restaurants Visitors Center Taxis and opportunities to book excursions available a short walk from the ship. At the National Museum you can learn about Bermuda’s links with the West Indies and the Azores, the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, and the island’s defence through two World Wars. Marvel at local artist Graham Foster’s grand mural, shipwreck artifacts, and local watercraft. The website states kids will love the Museum Playground and Playhouse, complete with interactives, a slide, and giant moray eel. Enjoy!
