A very early start to catch the arrivals of three of the four cruise ships scheduled to call at Southampton Docks on the morning of Monday 8th September 2014. The first ship to arrive was Princess Cruises' "Ruby Princess" making her final call to Southampton of the year - and for the foreseeable future as next year she and sister "Emerald Princess" will be replaced by "Caribbean Princess" & "Royal Princess". She arrived at the 'Mayflower' Terminal at around 04:30. The second ship to arrive was Cunard's "Queen Mary 2" from Cherbourg arriving at the 'Ocean' Terminal at around 06:00. She would be heading off to New York later in the day. Following close behind "Queen Mary 2" was a first-time caller - Costa Cruises' "Costa Mediterranea" calling in on her re-positioning cruise down to the Mediterranean. She arrived at the 'City' Terminal around 06:20. The fourth ship was to be AIDA Cruises' "AIDAsol" but she wasn't due to arrive until around 09:00 at the 'QEII' Terminal. Viewed from Town Quay.
