RVing the Natchez Trace: IS IT WORTH IT??? (Plus Elvis’ Birthplace)

There are not many scenic byways left in the USA as most people choose to drive faster on the interstate. But sometimes it’s nice to slow down and take in the beautiful drive! We are driving the Natchez Trace Parkway which spans 444 miles from Natchez, MS to Nashville, TN (and goes through the upper west corner of AL). There are lots of places to stop along the way and we found an audio app to be our guide. Of course, we won’t make all of the stops but will share the ones we do… and the beautiful drive in between. We spend the night in Tupelo, MS and go the next morning to Elvis Presley’s birthplace. This was a better stop than we even expected! It was so interesting to see his very humble beginnings in a small two room house, to know what he became. And the museum was interesting showing his childhood and into adulthood. We cross into Tennessee and stay at a State Park campground right on the lake.
