We are in Salt Lake City, Utah for the first time and we have heard such great things about this place... especially that it is a booming foodie town! And we are big foodies so are excited to try it all! By luck, we are here during several festivals. One in the downtown area is Festa Italiana. This was in walking distance from our hotel so thought it would be a good place to start... and it was so much better than we thought! The food was amazing, and we ate way more than we should have, and the entertainment was great as well! On day two, we headed out to Great Salt Lake for a boat tour in the most salinated lake in the USA, this was pretty cool. Then lunch at the best Mexican restaurant in town, Red Iguana. This was recommended by several locals and they were right! In the afternoon, we drove out to Snowbird for Oktoberfest, but unfortunately, there were WAY too many people and we couldn't find a place to park :( But we found a great hike behind the capital building to Ensign Peak. This was challenging for me (Alisa) but I felt so accomplished when I made it to the top!
