An Uber from downtown Seattle to SeaTac Airport was going to cost approximately $80—but Seattle’s Link light rail was only $3 per person. Saving $77 sounded like an easy decision until we had to tackle Seattle’s hills with all our cruise luggage! After our Star Princess Alaska cruise, we spent the night at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. The next morning, we walked to Symphony Station and boarded the Federal Way-bound train to Airport/SeaTac Station. We show you the complete journey, how long it took and whether the extra walking and luggage handling were worth the savings. This option works best for Alaska cruise passengers staying in downtown Seattle before or after their cruise. Link light rail does not depart directly from Pier 66 or Pier 91.
