Turning 40 is not a free pass to neglect your health. I bought into the lie and allowed myself to fall apart after turning 40. I nearly had a fatal stroke 5 years later at age 45 due to obesity related high blood pressure. I loss 100+ pounds on my own in 9 months and never had to take blood pressure medication. Today I am 52 and I am in the best shape of my life. How? I watch what I eat and I workout 7 days per week. I am not genetically gifted or special in any way. I am an average middle age guy that decided I wanted to live a longer life and have a better quality of life in my golden years. If I can do it, anyone can. Like I said before, I’m not selling anything or sponsored by any fitness companies. You don’t have to join weight loss programs or pay money to anyone to lose weight and get in shape. You need a daily calorie deficit and some form of low impact cardio exercise 3-4 times per week.
