Creator's Key Takeaways
This cruise on the Royal Caribbean, the Voyager of the Seas, was an amazing cruise. One of the things we enjoyed most about the cruise was the ice skating show.
Airlie Beach, simply gorgeous. I haven't been to Airlie Beach in 40 years. I was surprised how many clubs, bars, restaurants, and cafes are now in Airlie Beach.
It's funny after you see 'Beware of crocodiles' sign, everywhere you walk, you're always aware that you're watching your feet to make sure you don't walk into a crocodile.

Hello everyone, π We have arrived at Shute Harbour to go ashore into Airlie Beach from Royal Caribbean, Voyager of the Seas cruise. This is first stop of two, tomorrow we arrive in Yorkies Knob north of Cairns. Today we walk around the very relaxed Airlie Beach, this would be a wonderful place to come with the family. Airlie Beach has a great Lagoon pool, which is fantastic as it is a bit risky to swim in ocean in warmer months because of marine stingers and crocodiles present all year round. Airlie Beach is one of the main points for destinations to a large selection for island hops and Barrier Reef excursions. There is a huge assortment of other activities from Airlie Beach such as jet boats, jet ski hire, snorkeling excursions, etc. There is a large amount of holiday accommodation, obviously availability is dependent on seasons and holiday periods. I would think you would need to book in advance in these periods. I would think with the number of Restaurants, bars and nightclubs it would be jumping in peak periods.
