Join us on a Singapore to Batam day trip as we show you how to get the ferry to Indonesia! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ If you're looking to easily add another country to your itinerary, we're showing you exactly how to make the quick journey across the border. Batam is a hugely popular island destination just a short one-hour ferry ride from Singapore. In this video, we focus heavily on the practicalities of the journey to show you exactly what the crossing is actually like. We take you through the process of catching the ferry from HarbourFront, arriving at the Batam Centre Ferry Terminal and exploring what's immediately nearby. Because we wanted to keep things simple and budget-friendly, we decided to explore the local area completely on foot! We walked from the ferry terminal over to Alun Alun Park (Engku Putri) where we met some lovely locals before checking out the iconic Welcome to Batam sign and the beautiful Grand Mosque of Batam (Masjid Raya Batam). Of course no trip to Indonesia is complete without the food! We grabbed an amazing and authentic Indonesian meal near the ferry terminal which was a massive highlight. We also did a bit of shopping at the nearby Mega Mall to take advantage of the great local prices before walking you through the process of catching the return ferry back to Singapore. We absolutely loved our quick visit to Batam. It's incredible to see how different the atmosphere is just one hour away and the local people were so incredibly welcoming.
