8 night cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas. Due to Lahaina being closed, ports of call included Honolulu and Kona before returning to Honolulu. While in Kona, I boarded a private tour van that took about 20 members of the cruise's Facebook group to Hilo and the Volcanoes National Park. We saw a huge crater, smelly sulfur banks, Rainbow Falls, and a small black sand beach. We also walked through a huge lava tube. The trip across the island took about an hour and a half each way. The first couple of nights, the seas were rough and some people got seasick. When sea conditions warrant, the crew puts out seasickness bags on the stairway railings. The ships doctor also has seasick medicine which can also be purchased in the shop on board. @RixTrips
