Southwest Airlines BIG CHANGES - What you MUST KNOW!

Southwest airlines is making big changes to their baggage and seating policies. In this video we will tell you the Key Dates, Changes to Baggage Fees, Changes to Open Seating, and Changes to the Fare Types that you must know to avoid fees and save money. We give you THE Key Date to be aware of to avoid unnecessary luggage fees. These Southwest Airlines luggage fees will effect you whether or not you are traveling on a cruise. SW airlines has been terrific to take to catch a cruise because it travels to terrific cruise embarkation ports in the continental US, Hawaii and the Caribbean and most importantly allows you to check 2 bags for free. One of the big changes to SW airlines is the checked bag policy. For any flight booked or changed after May 28, 2025, most customers will have to pay to check a bag. The exceptions to this rule include: • Passengers who book business select (2 bags free). • Passengers with loyalty status A-list Preferred (2 bags free) • Passengers with loyalty status A-list (1 bag free) • Rapid Rewards Cardmember (1 bag free) The Southwest Airlines Seating policy will change in early 2026 with assigned seating and preferred seating.
