Description from YouTube
Welcome back to our 50 Days of Cruising the Caribbean series! đ´đ˘ In this series, weâre visiting 13 different cruise ports without booking excursionsâshowing you what you can do on your own and how to save money along the way. đ In most of our previous episodes, we stayed close to port or explored nearby towns on foot. But in St. Maarten, we decided to try something a little different⌠Instead of pre-booking an expensive cruise ship excursion, we hired a local taxi driver for the day. âď¸ $120 total (for all four of us) âď¸ Private tour âď¸ Comfortable air-conditioned minivan And it gave us the freedom to see so much more of the island. During our day, we: Walked through shallow water to Ălet de Pinel đď¸ Climbed up to Fort Louis for amazing views Crossed the famous Simpson Bay Bridge Watched planes land just overhead at Maho Beach âď¸ right next to Princess Juliana International Airport This ended up being one of the best ways weâve explored a port so farâstill no cruise excursion, but with the added benefit of a private, customizable experience for less money. đ If youâve been following our series, this is a great example of how you can go beyond the port without overspending. đĽ This video is part of our full series: 50 Days of Cruising the Caribbean â 13 Ports, No Excursions Be sure to check out the rest of the ports to see what you can do on your own at each stop! đ If youâre enjoying this series, donât forget to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE! #StMaarten #CaribbeanCruise #CruiseTips #CruiseVlog #NoExcursion #MahoBeach #PinelIsland #FortLouis
