About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

As we begin the third and final stage of the DIY world cruise for Retired Time to Cruise, we are highlighting Stateroom E605 on the Island Princess. Once again, we are in a restricted view outside cabin. It is also on the 8th deck but slightly more toward the back of the ship. This layout is new to us and gives almost a mini-suite feel to the stateroom. The standout feature for Darren and me is the soft, comfortable bed which is the best we've encountered on a ship so far. We have found the ship easy to navigate although there are several elevators that don't reach all floors and a few hallways that only run on one side of the ship. Ship signage is clear and the electronic boards near the elevators function well and give clear directions on how to get from place to place. As always, the crew is very friendly and helpful. We will be sure of an enjoyable return trip to North America aboard the Island Princess.
