YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

Old Town Strasbourg is absolutely charming, with wonderful architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, fun and quirky shops, and glorious canal views. There is so much to see and do. The old town district is rather small, so it is easy to see quite a bit in a day trip or Rhine River cruise port stop. I spent a day exploring the city as part of a Viking Rhine Getaway River Cruise excursion and was happily surprised by the city and some of the beautiful sights, including Petite-France, Cathedral Notre Dame and its Horloge Astronomique or Astronomical Clock, Ponts Couverts, Barrage Vauban, Maison Kammerzell, Gutenburg Plaza, and Place Kleber. These were some of the many places to visit, but it's also just wonderful to wander the streets and take in all the architectural details, statues and fountains along the way. @seniorsolotravel Facebook Travel Forum: https://www.facebook.com/groups/443309331791413 Senior Solo Travel Website: https://www.seniorsolotravel.net/ Videos from this trip: Amsterdam: https://youtu.be/4KhuUTUDN_4 Kinderdijk & Cheese Farm: https://youtu.be/bRq-q1a97jg Cologne: https://youtu.be/ZU7gvtY3PtI Koblenz: https://youtu.be/s_HqZWa2CKQ Strasbourg: https://youtu.be/Tk_VbVcUnLs Colmer and Black Forest: https://youtu.be/68Y-6vpZdnE Basel: https://youtu.be/2RBv9kuB9D0 Viking Einer or Sigrin Riverboat: https://youtu.be/viEP8tRRPZY Overview of Rhine Get-Away cruise: https://youtu.be/aFy_73rD57A 0.00 Intro 1:15 Place Kleber 1:28 Petite-France 2:02 Gutenburg Plaza 2:11 Cathedral Notre Dame 2:47 Astronomical Clock 3:15 Streets 4:01 Vino Strada 4:11 Maison Kammerzell 4:38 Barrage Vauban 4:58 Ponts Couverts
