Our second day at Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor didn't go quite as planned. The morning began with a phone call from Brent's family letting us know that his mother had suffered a fall and broken her hip. After talking things through, we made the difficult decision to end our getaway a day early so we could return home to be with family. Although our plans changed, we still wanted to make the most of the time we had. We spent the afternoon exploring Fishermen's Village, browsing the local shops, and enjoying the beautiful waterfront atmosphere. Unfortunately, our King Fisher Fleet Charlotte Harbor sightseeing cruise was canceled due to poor weather, so we'll have to save that experience for another visit. To wrap up the day, we enjoyed a special Fourth of July dinner at Stadium Club, followed by one of the highlights of the trip—a spectacular rooftop fireworks celebration overlooking Charlotte Harbor. Travel doesn't always go according to plan, and sometimes life reminds us that family comes first. We're grateful we were able to enjoy a little more of this beautiful resort before heading home, and we hope you'll come along as we share both the unexpected moments and the memorable experiences from our stay.
