The best part of packing for a cruise is picking which tech gadgets to pack. We love cruising and we love gadgets. Here are the top 5 tech gadgets we pack. Hey cruisers! Today I’m going to talk about the top 5 tech gadgets we pack when cruising. We know your favorites might be different. Feel free to post them in the comments below. A Power Strip: Okay, maybe not the most techie of tech gadgets, but without it, charging from that single outlet will get old fast. Take heed - This may be the most crucial item you can pack! Smartphones and tablets - we use the iPad, iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy s5. We usually buy a couple of apps that don’t require Internet connectivity. We prefer not to purchase cruise ship Internet packages. As of now, it’s just too expensive and we'd rather β€œunplug” while cruising. Smartphones really are the β€œeverything” gadget – music, movies, gaming....and like they say, the best camera is the camera you have with you, and I always have my phone. Oh, and hey, you can make calls with it too. A Travel Speaker. We absolutely love the EcoXGear Waterproof wireless Bluetooth speaker. It’s a little big, but it really delivers. It has great sound, pairs easily with our devices, and it’s rugged and waterproof. We always pack our DSLR, but when we're out adventuring nothing beats the GoPro. Be aware this is not exactly a point and shoot. There is a bit of a learning curve with the menu system, and it can be a big investment when you consider all the accessories you may want. But at the end of the day you can get some really stunning footage. Lastly, we like to pack a "Rav Power 5-in-1 file hub". This handy little device allows you to transfer files like photos and videos between an SD card or Portable Hard Drive and your smartphones or tablets. It has a built-in charger for your mobile devices, and allows you to create a portable wireless network or Hot Spot. Now this won’t get you on the Internet when cruising, but it will allow you to network your devices for things like multiplayer gaming. You really need to check this thing out to see all it offers. That’s it for this episode. Thanks for watching, and if you like this video, don’t forget to like and subscribe. Until next time, we’ll see you on the high seas!
