This Cabo San Lucas cruise day proves you don’t need expensive excursions to have an unforgettable adventure. A $15 glass bottom boat ride to the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, to free beaches just minutes from the cruise port, and authentic street tacos for under $5. This is the ultimate DIY Cabo cruise guide. Why keep searching for cheap things to do in Cabo, Cabo cruise port tips, budget excursions, or how to explore Cabo San Lucas on your own? About $15 USD to see one of the most famous landmarks in Mexico? That’s exactly what we did in Cabo. While visiting Cabo San Lucas during our Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the Carnival Panorama, we skipped the expensive cruise excursions and found a $15 local glass-bottom boat tour right at the marina that took us out to the famous El Arco de Cabo San Lucas at Land’s End. The boat ride turned into a fun two-hour adventure along the Cabo coastline. We cruised past Pelican Rock, spotted sea lions relaxing on the rocks, passed Lover's Beach, and saw the dramatic coastline where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Back at the marina we spent some time shopping the local stalls, checking out souvenirs and colorful masks before stopping for some authentic tacos at a small local grill near the marina. After lunch we took a short walk over to El Corsario Beach to relax by the water and enjoy the views. It turned into the perfect budget day in Cabo: great scenery, wildlife, tacos, a little shopping, and plenty of laughs with the Rambler family… all without spending much money. Eventually it was time to head back to the ship. We caught the tender back to the Carnival Panorama, and of course the day wasn’t quite over yet. The perfect way to end it? A quick snack of shrimp tacos from BlueIguana Cantina while watching Cabo slowly sail away. Sometimes the best cruise excursions aren’t the expensive ones from the ship. They’re the simple adventures you find on your own.
