In this video, we’re counting down 5 of the dirtiest cruise lines based on notable CDC Vessel Sanitation Program inspection results, including both recent scores and some shocking historical failures. We’ll look at ships from Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Cunard, and Holland America Line, including ships that came dangerously close to failing—and some that actually did. We’ll also compare those bad inspections with newer scores to see whether the cruise lines corrected the problems. Remember, one bad inspection doesn’t mean an entire cruise line or fleet is dirty. Many of these same cruise lines have ships that have earned perfect 100 CDC inspection scores. That’s why checking the inspection history of the specific ship you’re sailing on can be so important.
