The 'CATHEDRAL'S EXPRESS' with No.30777 "Sir Lamiel" - 18/07/2010
YouTube Video Descriptionโ
SR N15-class 'King Arthur' 4-6-0 No.30777 "Sir Lamiel" was back in action again on the Dorset Coast main line on Sunday 18th July 2010. This time, it was another 'Steam Dreams' 'Cathedral's Express' from London to Weymouth. The outward run was to Yeovil via Salisbury, before a diesel took the train down to Weymouth. Then "Sir Lamiel" worked back to Salisbury via Bournemouth, Southampton and Eastleigh before finally returning to London via Andover and Basingstoke. Originally, this trip was to include LNER A4-class 4-6-2 No.60019 "Bittern" who was to take the place of the unavailable SR unrebuilt 'Battle of Britain'-class 4-6-2 No.34067 "Tangmere" and BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70000 "Britannia". Unfortunately, "Bittern" was also unavailable at this time, so "Sir Lamiel" had to work the train alone.
