There is SO MUCH to do in the Smokey Mountains! You can do the fun touristy stuff in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg... but you also need to get out into nature! We decided to jump into the Little River on tubes. This was so much fun AND it cooled us off from the summer heat! River Rat took care of everything providing the tubes, life jackets and pick you up at the end of the run. There are two sections of the river that you can float down and we did them both. After some relaxing, we needed a jolt of adrenaline with a mountain coaster! This was awesome! We are roller coaster junkies and this experience is like nothing else. You are in your own mini coaster seat and you can control the speed... if you feel the need to slow down... but for us it was full steam ahead. We end our day with a yummy BBQ dinner at the top rated BBQ joint in the area at Boss Hogg's BBQ Shack. They had great brisket and pulled pork and the sides were great too.
