The Perfect Last Day in Port... but the hike was brutal!

Marella Discovery 2 continues to take us to the most beautiful destinations around the Aegean Sea, and this one is no exception! Our first time visiting the Turkish sunshine port of Alanya was no exception, with some beautiful places to hike, an incredible cable car ride up into the sky, and plenty of pirate ships to get you enjoying the open seas the best way they know how! A perfect last port day, before one even sets us apart from leaving this memorable adventure. We'll take you through the sailaway, sunset, and entertainment before flying high in the sky for that misty and miserable UK weather... definitely need to book another cruise asap! #marellacruises #cruisevlog #cruise /// Day 7: Alanya - Hiking, Cable Car, and Plenty of Sunshine A first visit for both of us in Alanya started with the surprise of many pesky pirates surrounding the Marella Discovery 2. Would they steal our buffet treats? Maybe our casino chips? Surely not our Raspberry Collins!! Luckily, they were just here to whisk passengers away on a party cruise around the port. Now that the coast was clear, it was off to explore some of Alanya. A beautiful, but tiring hike took us around the old port, where a castle caught our eye. After the steepest of paths, we had some time to reflect, and decide not to continue and scurry back to the Snack Shack for a quick bite. But, not wanting to waste our last port of call, it was back out to the nearby cable car station for a more relaxing trip up. Some beautiful sights could be seen from up there and a tiny toy Marella Discovery 2 down far below. After some rushed sightseeing, it was back down and back to our home for the last time.
