If you are booked to go on a Caribbean Cruise and one of your cruise ports is La Romana, then here is a little taster of what to expect. I booked the Choo Choo train with P&O Cruises which is a 45 minute tour to the centre of La Romana and back. Was it worth the £15pp , no not really as you will find out, but the entertainment was amazing. What I would recommend however is the P&O Cruises excursion to Saona Island , i cover some of it in this video. Due to the time restraints getting to the island and back , you must book with P&O Cruises as they guarantee the ship waits for you as it is a regular occurance passengers on this trip can be slightly late so please book with the cruiseline so you are guaranteed for the ship to wait for you. In Episode 1 - I visit Barbados and spend the day snorkeling off a catamaran up the west coast. Wow what a trip that was and highly recommended. A stunning island which is famous for its panoramic views and incredible beaches. Tortola is Totally safe and a place that definitely gives you the whole Caribbean experience.
