The Worst Cabin We’ve Stayed In? | MSC Seaside | Inside Suite | Cabin 16019 | July 2024

Thank you for watching our video. This is the first time we’ve had a bad experience on a cruise and had cause to complain. Not every cruise is perfect but generally, it’s minor things that crop up. On this cruise, we stayed in a Yacht Club Interior Suite (16019). We usually do our research on where our cabin is before booking but on this occasion, we dropped the ball and managed to book a cabin directly under the kitchen. It was very noisy during the day with lots of footsteps and trollies being wheeled around but during the night, we also had the industrial dish washer churning over all night with lots of banging. It was very loud and stopped us from sleeping. Being July and peak school holidays, Concierge had nowhere to move us to. After 2 nights of no sleep, they managed to find us another cabin but only for 1 night before going back to our original cabin. When we returned to the inside cabin, we also had a leak from the kitchen above and had water dripping into the cabin in the middle of the night. By this point we had had enough and asked for a cabin anywhere on the ship. They managed to find us another cabin outside of Yacht Club which was so peaceful and quiet. Concierge were very understanding and as helpful as they could be as was our butler. They gave us a complimentary massage in the spa which was very much appreciated and a bottle of champagne in our new cabin. We still had access to all of the Yacht Club facilities, as well as the inside cabin in YC, but we were sleeping in a different part of the ship. We enjoyed this cruise but we were really disappointed with the location of the cabin and we spent a lot of time during our cruise trying to sort things out. It’s a lesson learned for us and we will be double and triple checking cabin locations before we book anything in future. Have you stayed in one of these cabins or had problems with noise?
