What was supposed to be a relaxing sea day on Carnival Splendor turned into the worst day I’ve ever had at sea. In this vlog, our scheduled stop at Moreton Island has been cancelled because a pilot was unavailable to bring in the tender operations. The letter explaining the cancellation ended up going viral, as this is a very rare reason for a cruise port cancellation. But behind the scenes, this day became much more personal. I was unwell from the morning and spent a large part of the day resting in bed. Later, I headed out to enjoy the Rock & Glow party… and that’s when everything changed. I suffered a heartbreaking major injury that has potentially changed my life and the way I cruise going forward.
