Tribute to the Carnival Ecstasy - Scheduled to be Scrapped in October
YouTube Video Description↓
***PLEASE SUBSCRIBE*** This is a tribute video to the Carnival Ecstasy which started her service and has seen more then 30 years of cruise passengers. She is scheduled to be scrapped in October, 2022 Please subscribe to the Cruise Nuts YouTube Channel at: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC8y1FhfZFYHqxrlW2vg7c0A Carnival Ecstasy was the second Fantasy Class ship to be constructed for Carnival, and entered service in 1991 to wide acclaim. Its interiors were designed by long-time Carnival architect Joe Farcus, who gave Ecstasy an overload of neon, glitz and 1990's colors that have been subtly -- but not overly -- toned-down in the intervening decades. The ship made headlines in 1998 when a fire broke out in the ship's laundry facilities and the vessel lost power while setting sail from Miami. Despite that, Ecstasy went on to have a long and profitable career for Carnival, sailing mostly shorter itineraries and weekend cruises. In February 2022, Carnival announced that Ecstasy would take over itineraries from Mobile for Carnival Sensation before being removed from the fleet in October 2022. Because of the hard-stop date given, a buyer is likely for Carnival Ecstasy and not the breakers -- but consider this the sixth Fantasy Class ship to be put on the endangered species list.
