http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Trondheim Fact: Did you know that the first Viking sale of goods from "the new found land" took place here about 1000 A.D. The great Gothic cathedral of Nidaros is where the new kings of Old Norway once received their official blessings. By the time, ex-Marine (husband, Steve) and I tried to figure out exactly what who the 76 sculptures were on the west front facade, and purchased a book telling about them, there was no time left to actually enter the cathedral let alone try to visit the Archbishop's Palace Museum. It took 30 minutes just to walk in each direction from where the Midnatsol docked into the center of Trondheim. Past the many stores (all having sales), restaurants and coffee shops while I moaned and groaned over not having any time to browse. We'll just have to come back to Trondheim!
