Join us for an update from the charming town of Carlingford, Ireland! 🇮🇪✨ After our P&O cruise, Villa Vie flew us to Belfast, where our ship is currently in drydock. Unfortunately, we've encountered another delay due to a water tank issue, pushing our departure to June 4th. 🚢⏳ Instead of waiting in Belfast, we decided to head to Dublin, which is now off our itinerary, stopping in a few quaint towns along the way. 🏘️ Our first stop is the picturesque town of Carlingford, where we share this update in front of the historic King John's Castle. 🏰 King John's Castle Facts: 🔹 Built in the 12th century by Hugh de Lacy, the castle is named after King John of England, who visited Carlingford in 1210. 🔹 The castle offers stunning views of Carlingford Lough and the surrounding countryside. 🌊 🔹 It played a strategic role in the medieval defense of the region. ⚔️ Highlights include: ✨ Our stay at a cute little Airbnb named Shalom, found through hotels.com, for $125 a night including breakfast. 🍳 ✨ Exploring the town of Carlingford with its great location and walking distance to the small town. 🚶‍♂️ ✨ Villa Vie covering our hotel and food expenses during this travel period. 🍽️ ✨ Taking a tour of the town and King John's Castle with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. 👩‍🏫 ✨ Maintaining a positive attitude and enjoying our travels. 😊 Join us as we navigate these changes and continue to enjoy our unexpected adventure.
