We headed to Farmington, MN to check out the inaugural Viking Fest at the Dakota County Fairgrounds and we were excited to check it out! Upon our arrival, we explored the grounds, and our first stop was the Vikings re-enactment camp. Here, we learned traditional Viking ways and watched some cooking demonstrations that smelled delicious! Our next stop was to watch the very entertaining The Danger Committee. We had a great time watching their juggling and comedy act. A horse demonstration was next with the Icelandic Horses. We also watched the Harp Volfgang Twins play some beautiful music and the Baratok Belly Dancers also put on a fantastic show. There were plenty of demonstrations and lots of shopping. We also indulged in some food throughout the day. We had a great time at Viking Fest and hope to do it again.
