Join me and Gretchen as we explore Playa Del Carmen on an excursion! This is my first excursion ever so I was very excited to experience and be able to report back to you all. The Ferry ride was the absolute worst part, I give it a 0/5 stars. After that it was a perfect day. The van ride was nice and they provided us with water. The drive really wasn’t too bad and seemed much shorter than expected. They talked about how the area gets a bad rap safety wise and the only really places you have to worry about is the Mexico City borders. The Sian Ka’an UNESCO part was my favorite. Just being out in this secluded area in nature was so relaxing. These small canals is how the Mayans would transport items. The Muyil Ruins were filled with history, I do wish we would have had more time to explore here but I loved learning all about the Mayan culture throughout the trip. I highly recommend this excursion for anyone thinking about it. And if you were wondering where Michael was, He actually has a friend that lives in Cozumel so he met her for lunch while we were out. They were having a Carnival celebration going on so he got to experience some of that. We met back on the ship and cancelled our dinner because we were so nauseous from the Ferry ride back and had to get ready for Scarlet Night.
