If you take a Caribbean cruise with Virgin Voyages, chances are Bimini will be a port of call. While it isn't a private island, like many other cruise lines, it is a private beach resort for sailors on Virgin Voyages. - Hop aboard a free tram from the end of the cruise pier. From there you will ride for 10-15 minutes until your reach The Beach Club. Upon entering, you can pick up a drink from the bar (one of many). Next you'll find the dueling pools. On your left is the more tranquil/quiet of the two. On the right is the party pool. Think of it as a dance club in the water. A DJ drops the beat while you splash about on one of the many inflatable pool toys. Remember, there are no children allowed. So, act like a kid and have fun. If all the sun and fun makes you hungry, there are two included food venues serving up elevated cuisine. No hot dogs or hamburgers here. Sodas and other soft drinks are included also. Need to relax after your meal? Find one of the nearby hammocks to swing in the shade of a palm tree. What about the beach, you ask? The beach is expansive. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to which chair to sit in or put your stuff on. Smear on lots of SPF 50+ and jump in the clear turquoise water. The waves are small and manageable. You are encouraged to enjoy the water responsibly as there are no life guards on duty. After spending the day at The Beach Club just hop back on the free tram back to the ship. There will be one stop at the Resorts World Casino if you feel like testing the fates. "Always bet on black." If you have enough energy left, step off the tram at the pier and crawl to the gangway.
