Warnemünde to Berlin | Shore Excursion Train Cruise passengers that port at Warnemünde, north of Berlin, May have the opportunity to travel to Berlin by train. Many shore excursions to Berlin begin with a 2.5 hour train ride from Warnemünde. The train is just a 3 to 5 minute, flat walk from the ship. TIP: There is only one train and it leaves on time. On Viking Cruises, tour operator escorts accompany passengers during the train journey and drop you off in Berlin with your tour guide. At the end of the day your tour guide will bring you back to the train (maybe a different station) and you are escorted back to the ship. The train is clean, smooth riding and passes through the beautiful German countryside. Seating (based on your tour) may be up or downstairs. You will need to navigate appx 5 steps up/down. We were served a morning and afternoon snack on the train. Bathrooms are available between each car. TIP: long lines can form, so plan ahead. The first tour bathroom stop can be 30 to 45 minutes after you reach Berlin. Enjoy!!!
