If you’ve ever wondered what Nassau, Bahamas is REALLY like beyond the tourist spots… this is it 🇧🇸✨ On our 5-day cruise aboard the Carnival Sunrise, we made a stop in Nassau and decided to do something different — we asked a local cab driver to take us where HE eats. Our driver Robby took us to The Cricket Club Restaurant and Pub where we had an unforgettable Bahamian breakfast: ✨ Stew conch & yellow grits ✨ Sheep tongue & johnny cake ✨ Pancakes & bacon for Ean ✨ The freshest lemonade EVER But the experience didn’t stop there… Robby gave us a full island tour — from the historic Queen’s Staircase, to local markets, to the BEST spicy conch salad I’ve ever had 🤤🔥 And then… he surprised us by taking us to his HOME, where we met his wife and experienced true Bahamian hospitality (yes… including a cup of Hennessy 🥃). This was easily one of the most authentic travel experiences we’ve ever had ❤️ ⚠️ DISCLAIMER: We want to be clear that while this experience was amazing, we used our own personal judgment and discretion. We are NOT encouraging anyone to go to a stranger’s home while traveling. Always prioritize your safety and make decisions that feel right for you.
