Creator's Key Takeaways
The sheer volume of water pouring over the rocks is crazy, and it's even better in person than it is in pictures.
Driving up this mountainous road to Stegestine in such a tiny car was definitely an adventure.
The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. Just standing there looking out over the entire Orland's fjord with the mountains rising up on both sides and the water stretching way off into the distance.
It was so so worth it. Driving back down to Flam from Stegan was definitely a much easier experience.

Our First Time in Norway! π³π΄ Weβre so excited to share our very first travel vlog from our trip to Norway β a country weβve dreamed of visiting for years! After being inspired by stunning photos and videos (especially from a Norwegian friend who shared so much on social media), we finally made it happen. Join us for our first full day exploring Norway! We kick things off with a quick 10-minute drive to Skjervsfossen Waterfall, where the sound and power of the rushing water was incredible. After checking out the view from the base, we head up to the top for a whole new perspectiveβplus we stumble across some of the coolest public restrooms we've ever seen! On our way to the Stalheim Panoramic Terrace, we came across another waterfall, Tvindefossen and then continued to Stalheim Panoramic Terrace. But the highlight of the day? Renting a tiny 2-seater Renault Twizy and taking on the nerve-wracking (but unforgettable) drive up to the Stegastein Viewpoint. The road may have tested our nerves, but the views were absolutely worth it! 00:00 Opening Intro 00:14 Our AirBnb near Voss 00:40 On the road to Skervsfossen Waterfall 00:57 Seeing the impressive waterfall for the first time 01:32 At the base of the waterfall 02:32 Driving to the top of the waterfall 03:13 Some restrooms with some very unique views 04:16 At the top of the waterfall 05:17 Driving to Stalheim Panoramic Terrace 06:16 Quick stop at the Tvindefossen waterfall along the way 06:44 Driving to Stalheim 07:08 Stalheim Hotel and Panoramic Terrace 08:33 Renting the Renault Twizy from eMobility in Flam 09:13 Quick snack in Flam before hitting the road 10:13 Getting ready to depart Flam to head to Stegastein 10:56 On the road to Stegastein 11:16 This road is not wide for both direction vehicles 11:39 Beautiful first impressions going up the road 13:44 Another close encounter 14:30 A really narrow encounter - perhaps the most challenging part of this drive 14:59 Enjoying the view and the silence 15:21 Construction on the road 16:02 Approaching the Stegastein Viewpoint and parking 16:52 Andrea trying to get out of the Twizzy 17:36 Finally made it for this amazing view 19:19 Easy drive back down to Flam 19:48 Quick lunch in Flam 20:28 Drive to Undredal and seeing church 21:01 Quick stop and walkaround in the town of Voss 21:46 What to expect in our next video
