From pools, games, and massage stations to food vendors and relaxing hangout spots, the port has plenty to offer for cruise passengers looking to stay close to the ship. Instead of enjoying the port attractions, we decided to venture beyond the gates and walk through the local streets to experience a more authentic side of Roatán. Along the way, we stopped at a local fruit stand where the customer service wasn't exactly welcoming, but that's all part of the adventure when exploring somewhere new. Thankfully, things quickly turned around when we discovered a local restaurant serving delicious, authentic food at prices that were easy on the wallet.
