Creator's Key Takeaways
we've actually done something this time which is a thirst for us on a cruise and we've gone for an outside cabin
overall we've been really happy of this cabin we love the natural light you're getting and how big it feels for such an older ship
however there have been a couple of noise disturbances because we're pretty much right at the front of the ship
we'd probably both happily stay in this cabin again on another Cruise

Join us for a Marella Discovery outside cabin tour of #3006 on this nearly 30-year-old cruise ship! Does it hold up against other ships in the Marella Cruises fleet? Find out now! Join us as we take you on a full tour of our forward outside cabin (#3006) on deck 3 aboard Marella Discovery during our Eastern Mediterranean cruise on the Aegean Jewels itinerary. This is the first time we’ve ever booked an outside cabin on a cruise ship, but it wasn’t exactly by choice - we booked last-minute, just a month before departure, and this was the only option available. While you can choose your own cabin for a charge of £50 per person, we opted for a guarantee cabin, meaning the cruise line allocated us a cabin we couldn’t choose. At nearly 30 years old, Marella Discovery is no spring chicken. While many of the ship’s cabins have been refurbished, our cabin has not! Does the lack of refurbishment leave us disappointed, or does this 30-year-old cabin surprise us? We will give you our honest review of a cabin that hasn’t been refurbished. Marella Discovery is part of the Marella Cruises fleet, alongside Marella Discovery 2, Marella Explorer, Marella Explorer 2, and the newest addition, Marella Voyager. Watch now to find out if this 30-year-old cabin lives up to expectations or shows its age!
