Creator's Key Takeaways

This cruise has flown by. Yesterday we got to explore this beautiful port, another swim stop and the captain's dinner. A real treat.

A huge benefit of coming one of these yacht cruises is that there's no need for transfers. You can walk straight into the city center.

Overall, the tour and our tour guide were fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable, and we came away learning a little bit more about the history of Split.

Swim stop again has got to be a highlight as it has been every single day of this yacht cruise so far.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Avoid cafes lining the front of the port and look for hidden gems for better value.
Tip your guide around €2 per person for the included excursion.

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Our Riviera Travel Dubrovnik & Southern Croatia Yacht Cruise took us from another unforgettable Adriatic swim stop to docking overnight in the heart of Split, Croatia. We started the morning sailing out of Pučišća before anchoring in crystal-clear turquoise waters for yet another swim stop. One of the biggest advantages of small ship cruising in Croatia is the ability to jump straight from the yacht into the Adriatic Sea — something large cruise ships simply can’t offer. By lunchtime, we were sailing into Split cruise port — but unlike the larger ships moored further away, our yacht docked just steps from Split Old Town. No shuttle buses. No long walks. Just straight into the city centre. We joined an included walking tour of Diocletian’s Palace, one of Croatia’s most famous historic landmarks and a major Game of Thrones filming location. Our guide explained the Roman history, hidden tunnels, and how much of modern Split is built directly on top of the ancient palace. After exploring the narrow cobbled streets, we found a hidden gem bar serving local Croatian wine at incredible prices, enjoyed happy hour onboard, and later headed ashore for authentic pizza overlooking the port at sunset. From swim stops and local food to docking right in the action, this is what a small ship yacht cruise in Croatia is really like. MV Corona (Now MV Felicita) Riviera Travel Yacht Tour - https://youtu.be/NidjxzWucMU Book your next Riviera Travel Adventure here - https://tidd.ly/4cgJdER We sailed onboard MV Corona in 2025 for all futures sailings from 2026 the ship has been renamed to MV Felicita. Disclosure: We were kindly invited onboard by Riviera Travel to experience their Southern Croatia Yacht Cruise with Bosnia and Herzegovina land tour. Riviera Travel had no editorial input, and as always, our thoughts and opinions are entirely our own. This Riviera Travel holiday combines a seven-night Adriatic yacht cruise with a three-night escorted land tour through Bosnia & Herzegovina. The journey begins in Dubrovnik, where you board a small, four-star yacht accommodating around 40 guests, offering an intimate and relaxed alternative to large cruise ships. Sailing along Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, the itinerary includes historic ports such as Korčula, Hvar, Split, Pučišća and Mljet. Guided walking tours introduce the history and culture of each destination, while free time allows independent exploration. The cruise also features scenic sailing, swim stops in clear waters and opportunities to enjoy the surrounding islands and national parks. Meals onboard include daily breakfast and lunch, plus a Captain’s Dinner. After disembarkation, the journey continues inland into Bosnia & Herzegovina. Highlights include the waterfalls of Kravice, the UNESCO-listed bridge in Mostar and the historic city of Sarajevo, where East meets West culturally and architecturally. The tour also visits Trebinje and local landmarks, providing insight into the region’s history and traditions. With flights, transfers, accommodation, guided tours and many meals included, the itinerary offers a comprehensive way to experience both the Croatian coastline and the Balkans beyond the Adriatic. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.
