Creator's Key Takeaways

What we need is the Haunted Mansion parlor.

It's one of the best spaces Imagineering has ever created.

With 4,000 ft, Disney could make a much bigger Haunted Mansion parlor that could fit more guests and feature an expanded menu with food.

So, Haunted Mansion Parlor here just makes too much sense.

YouTube Video Description

👻 What is Disney’s SECRET Haunted Mansion project? Disney is building a mysterious 4,000 sq ft building next to the Haunted Mansion. My buddy @zach.wally made a great video asking what this building could be, and I have a theory that I need to be right. Disney has already filed permits and started clearing land for a new structure right next to Magic Kingdom's Haunted Mansion (Construction photo via @bioreconstruct). I've seen speculation ranging from a queue expansion to bathrooms. But we don't need those. What we need is the Haunted Mansion Parlor, the HM-themed bar that’s serving up spirits on Disney Cruise Line. Now, you might say "do we really need another themed bar at Disney World?" And to that I say, you obviously haven't been inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure or Disney Destiny. It's one of the best spaces Imagineering has ever created, packing an incredible amount of detail and effects into a relatively small footprint. Here's why this makes too much sense: with 4,000 square feet, Disney could build a bigger, multi-room version of the Parlor that fits more guests and features an expanded menu with food. And Disney has already proven this exact concept works at Magic Kingdom. The Beak and Barrel opened right next to Pirates of the Caribbean as a Pirates-themed tavern. A Haunted Mansion Parlor would follow the same playbook. I have no inside info on Disney's plans, but I need this to happen. And I feel like if I talk about it enough, it might just materialize.
