If you have not sailed on a ship of this size before, you might feel overwhelmed. That is why we have put together our latest video of the 20 Things You Need to Know Before Cruising on Norwegian Encore! If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! When sailing on a mega-ship like Norwegian Encore, you will want to plan ahead. Booking your cruise 6-12 months ahead of time will ensure you have the widest selection of cabins. Also, you will most likely score one of the lowest cruise fares. In addition, when planning a cruise on this new ship, you do need to know that some things can be booked ahead of time. One hundred and twenty days before your sailing, you will be able to book specialty dining and main theater entertainment. We highly suggest you book these before stepping foot on the ship. Norwegian Encore has several attractions and activities you will want to reserve once you board the ship. The go-karts, laser tag, and select comedy shows are all available to reserve on day one of your cruise. You will want to head to Deck 6 to the Social Club to get a time slot for these very popular attractions. If you are traveling with little ones, you will want to make sure you register them at Splash Academy, the youth program on the ship, on Day 1 as well. We always suggest that you take a tour of the ship to get your bearings on embarkation day. Regardless of the time you are assigned at check-in, we also suggest that you arrive to the terminal early, so you can board Norwegian Encore as soon as possible. Do know that some restaurants on the ship are complimentary, while others are an up-charge. If you plan to dine at restaurants that are not covered in the cruise fare, you might save money by purchasing a specialty dining plan.
