Day 5 of our British Isles cruise we got to visit the beautiful town of Portree, Skye. This was a tender port and there were accessibility problems for some guests. We explored Portree independently and visited some of the historic sights. Back onboard Ambience we made the most of the weather and got to use the Lido deck for the first time. We finally got to experience afternoon tea onboard and were blown away by the selection available. Dress code for the evening was Smart and we had another fantastic dining experience in the Buckingham Restaurant. We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked. Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us. We have created a list of our cruise essentials.
