Tom and Dom Travel
π₯Knowledgeable CreatorTom and Dom Travel description on YouTube:
We are Tom and Dom, and we love to travel. We took our first cruise on MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation sailings in June 2021. Many cruises later, across a variety of cruise lines, we can now say we are officially hooked. What makes us unique? We believe that no two cruises are ever the same. Even on familiar ships, there are always new experiences, destinations, and memories waiting to be made. When we're not cruising, you'll find us in South West Wales, where Tom works for a charity founded by His Majesty The King, and Dom is a teacher and Head of Year at a secondary school. Our mission is to provide fair and balanced reviews of our travels, with a focus on showcasing a modern approach to cruising. Whilst travelling, we review all the elements that make up a great trip, including food, entertainment, service, and accommodation. CLIA Choose Cruise Member 2026

This is my first solo international flight. So, um, international flight. So, cuz last time I went international, um, Oh, yeah.

Solo Cruising and More

Cruising with D and E
The main the main goal of the cruise is to chase a total solar eclipse over off the coast of Spain on maybe August 12th

Port Monkeys
After over a 100 sailings across pretty much every major cruise line, we're ranking the best cruise lines for adults.

Eat Sleep Cruise
The quality of the food, variety and taste, didn't seem as good as the food we've had on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity.

βWe would 100% recommend going to see him. He spent lots of time chatting to the audience. He really interacted with everyone.β
βThe tiramisu was light, fluffy, really creamy, probably one of the best tiramisus I've ever had at sea.β
βThe steak though, was delicious. It melted in your mouth. The knife just cut straight through it.β
βI can honestly say that the Mediterranean hot stone massage was the best massage I have ever experienced, and I would be happy to do it again, and again, and again.β
βWe would thoroughly, thoroughly recommend it.β
βwe can honestly say we can hear everything word for word it has been an a horrendous experience and this is genuinely the worst cruise cabin we have ever stayed inβ
βwe've actually got no cew what we have got is people constantly changing literally coming straight up to the window to look inβ
βthe reception staff were absolutely awful basically what we were told was not our problem speak to your travel agentβ
βwe have been outside with the light switched on and you can see through the window so it's going to be a massive massive drawback for most people wanting this cabinβ
βwe would recommend to anyone who is allocated a cabin either in this cabin or anyone's along our row is to absolutely refuse to stay in them because you will have an awful time staying in these cabinsβ

Press the star button in the lifts to go directly to the gangway deck without needing to know the deck number.
If dining room virtual queues are full, grab a buzzer and visit a bar while waiting.
Deck 19 is a quiet sunbathing area, but note there is no bar service there.
Ask for thick cut toast on P&O ships as it is a great option.
If you want the sorbet during a multi-course meal, make sure to explicitly tell your waiter or they may miss it.
If the lifts are too busy, use the stairs to get to dining venues more quickly.
If you are going to sit on the opposite side of the ship facing Lisbon, it is much colder in the shade; pick your side correctly.
If you haven't been to the Limelight before, get there earlyβabout 45 minutes before the showβto secure front row seats.
