Carnival Celebration Everglades Tour | Inaugural US Voyage | Solo Travel

Hello Travelers, I boarded Carnival Celebration on November 21, 2022. This is a six day cruise, visiting Grand Turk, Amber Cove and Nassau. Join me in exploring this brand new ship! I had a later flight, so I booked the Everglades Tour with airport dropoff to make the most of the day. After disembarking the ship, I boarded a bus that took us to the Everglades Holiday Park, home of the Animal Planet’s Gator Boys. We started our tour with an airboat jaunt around the river of grass. We saw iguanas (in the trees), lots of birds and several gators as well. One of them wanted to get better acquainted and actually chased our boat for a little bit. Apparently we looked tasty! After the boat trip, we were ushered to the Gator Show. We were all seated on aluminum bleachers, and by the time I got there, it was only full sun seating options, and since it took quite a bit of time for all of the seats to be full (they make you sit there until they are all full) I decided to go off and explore on my own instead. Once you finish the gator show, they have several exhibits where you can see various animals, and then it is exit through the gift shop. You can also get refreshments and have a snack while you wait to go back to the bus. I really enjoyed the boat ride—the Everglades are beautiful, and it is a nice way to see them. Very relaxing. The tour ended, we boarded our bus and off we went to the Fort Lauderdale airport. This trip was really great, and I recommend this tour if you have the time to see the Everglades before you head home.
