Hello Travelers, In August of 2023, I did my first full transit of the Panama Canal with Princess cruises. It was a 19 day cruise, the longest I had been on to date. This is day 9 of the cruise, and a sea day. When I originally booked this cruise, it was scheduled to stop at San Juan Del Sur, but that port was cancelled some time later, but before the cruise was set to leave. So today is an extra sea day. I slept in again today, and still managed to catch a few activities around the ship. First was an origami class, where they had several projects for us to attempt. I think I ended up with three finished pieces. Then was the Sky is the Limit game show, where contestants had to come up with a certain number of entries for a chosen category in 30 seconds. Finally, I attended the Captain’s Circle Party, which is for Platinum and Elite guests, and there is an open bar for the duration of the party. It is held in a specific lounge, and by invitation only. One of the things I like about going to this party is they usually will give us the counts of passengers by loyalty levels. Here are the numbers from this cruise: New to Princess: 852 Gold: 649 Ruby: 317 Platinum: 640 Elite: 509 For a total of 2,967, and considering it has a capacity of 3,080, that is very nearly completely full.
