Flying Alaska Airlines First Class in a Pandemic | San Francisco to Los Angeles | Trip Report

On August 14, 2022, I flew first class on Alaska Airlines from San Francisco (SFO) to Los Angeles (LAX). Here is the trip report. I enjoy flying Alaska, it is one of my favorite airlines. Their first class pricing on short trips makes it worth it to me to fly this way. The flight was scheduled to take off at 10:30 am, but when the plane arrived, we learned there had been a medical emergency on the flight, and the EMTs took a lady off the plane. That delayed things a small amount, but we were on our way as quickly as possible. I boarded the plane and got comfortable. The airline provides a carton of water at your seat before you board. Alaska Airlines had sent a text the day before to let us know there would be no WiFi service or entertainment on this flight. After we boarded, they also let us know that due to a catering issue, there would be no snack/food service in any cabin on this flight. We did get to order one drink. We landed at 12:05 pm, which was only slightly later than the planned arrival time. It was a smooth and uneventful flight.
