Flying in Style: British Airways First Class Experience

Hello Travelers, I am flying first class on British Airways from Heathrow to San Francisco and I return home from my cruise on the Sky Princess. I headed to the airport bright and early for my trans Atlantic flight. First class has its own check in area, and it was nice to be able to sit and collect myself a little before going thru their private security area. Once through, I headed thru the hallway and into the Concord Room lounge. Since it was early, I opted to enjoy the restaurant they have and get my Eggs Benedict fix. Eventually, it was time to board the plane, and I was immediately directed to the first class sky bridge. From there, I entered the plane and found my seat. The accommodations on this plane were wonderful, and it made for a very comfortable flight. I was served a welcome drink (I chose a Sprite) and some nuts. While I settled in, the rest of the passengers found their seats, and it was time to take off. The view from my two windows was very nice. Once in the air, I was offered a glass of champagne, and the first class menu. I chose several options—a cheese plate as the appetizer, lobster, and the beef for my main, and then an ice cream sundae for dessert.
