Creator's Key Takeaways
the immigration thing was kind of weird so i've already had breakfast luckily the horizon court their buffet opens at 6 30
we don't have to be back on the ship until 9 30 pm which is amazing because you know it's only 7 30 and people are able to get off right now so that's a nice long visit to san diego
it was really fun some of these these drinks were quite unusual and apparently there's this thing where if you drink or order um all 10 of the drinks you get a t-shirt for completion
tomorrow is ducky day i meant to do this earlier but it's just not happened and so i'm going to assemble the ducks tomorrow and i'm going to hide them all over the ship

Hello Travelers, I am traveling solo on my first Princess cruise. This series is out of order from the cruises I took. I only found a place in my editorial calendar here for the video series. It took place October 14 - 18, 2021. It was a four day cruise visiting Ensenada and San Diego. Today we docked in San Diego, and if youβve never been to that port, they dock the ships right there almost within touching distance of the main sea front board walk. There are vendors there on weekends with their booths selling crafts and trinkets, and it is just a really nice walkable ports to visit. Since this was the first US port we visited after a foreign port, we had to clear Customs getting off the ship. Now I had my shore excursion ticket, which said when and where to meet for the tour. But then Princess put a flyer in my cabin that said to pick an appointment time to go and clear Customs. We were to meet early in the Wheelhouse Bar, which we did, but the person handling the process said everyone was going to be walked off the ship and not allowed until everyone on board had cleared (around 10:30am). This was a problem for all the passengers there with shore excursion tickets that met on the ship at various times after. They were eventually able to sort it out, and told us to go to our shore excursion meetings if we had them, but otherwise to follow the process on the flyer. So once I did that, they gave us each stickers (with a color and a number) and sorted us into the groups based on which shore excursion we had all booked. Then they walked us off the ship in groups, took us to the building where they had Customs people set up, and then had us exit to the parking lot where our trolley was waiting. The tour I went on was a Hop on Hop off Trolley tour of San Diego, and we visited Coronado island, the gas lamp district and Balboa Park. It can be taken as a non-ship excursion and will be truly hop on/hop off, but our tour was handled differently and was just that one route. I had a drink (Butterfly Tea) from the Good Spirits bar at Sea, and that was refreshing. I got the whole presentation on video. If you order one of each of the drinks on the menu, you get the T-shirt too. Dinner was with new friends I met on the ship.
